Who is CeA?

Conservación en Acción (CeA) is a private organization, established as a non-profit civil association under Mexican law on January 15, 2003. In January 2003, it requested authorization from the local legal administration of the southern Federal District to receive tax-deductible donations, which was granted definitively through official letter No. 325-SAT-09-III-I-41847 dated August 24, 2003, and which remains valid according to the publication of January 18, 2024 in the Official Gazette of the Federation.
Its main activities include the conservation and management of wild flora and fauna, terrestrial or aquatic, within the national territory; the promotion among the population on the prevention and control of water, air and soil pollution; the protection of the environment and the preservation and restoration of the ecological balance within protected natural areas; as well as the carrying out of environmental education activities.
The strategy used by Conservation in Action is to work directly with communities to change their perspective on resource use. The goal is for communities to see the ecosystem as a sustainable resource that will provide them with long-term economic benefits and to commit to its conservation.
Conservación en Acción AC operates in coordination with various institutions to carry out its programs, both academic and research, as well as productive projects for the sustainable use of biodiversity for the benefit of the populations that inhabit ecologically important areas.
