PENINSULAR PRONGLER RECOVERY PROGRAM (PRBP)
The Peninsular Pronghorn Recovery Program (PRBP) focuses on the conservation of this endangered subspecies, where proper feeding and management of the animals are fundamental components for ensuring their well-being and population viability. Within this framework, a comprehensive plan will be implemented to optimize available logistics and infrastructure, strengthening field management processes and guaranteeing optimal conditions for the animals. Furthermore, constant coordination will be maintained with ENDESU, the landowners and holder of the Wildlife Management Unit (UMA), which will allow for the consolidation of inter-institutional efforts that not only support wildlife conservation but also contribute to strengthening community development linked to the program.
In this process, collaboration with Conservación en Acción AC (CeA) will be a strategic pillar, given its long-standing commitment to the conservation of the peninsular pronghorn and its extensive technical expertise with the species. This organization's participation is realized through environmental education programs aimed at local communities and visitors, as well as through specialized consultations from its experts, who have been collaborating partners and constant allies in the species' recovery. This synergy will strengthen not only direct management actions but also the development of a collective awareness that sustainably supports the conservation of the peninsular pronghorn.
GENERAL OBJECTIVE

General Information: The building was designed by José Martín Gutiérrez Perea and its construction ranged from 2016 to 2018.
Lacking a museum exhibit, the space was used as a visitor center, for meetings, workshops, and environmental events. From 2019 to 2022, it housed the artwork "Journey of the Gray Whale" for safekeeping. Since 2023, the Peninsular Pronghorn Museum (MUBE) has offered visitors a unique and personalized experience, allowing them to explore, subjectively and individually, the various facets that perfectly describe the Peninsular Pronghorn and its crucial role in the ecosystem.
The exhibit highlights the importance of biodiversity and conservation through the history of the Peninsular pronghorn, a subspecies that continues to be rescued from the brink of extinction thanks to the Peninsular Pronghorn Recovery Program (PRBP), which has been running for almost three decades. The exhibit combines scientific information, interactive experiences, and community activities. This unique space not only informs but also allows visitors to observe Peninsular pronghorns up close in their natural habitat. The main objective is to raise awareness among as many people as possible about the importance of this subspecies and the conservation efforts that have been carried out over time. It also focuses on strengthening a sense of belonging and pride within the community. At the same time, it contributes to raising the necessary funds for the maintenance and operation of the recovery program, ensuring that this invaluable work continues in the future.
